More interesting titles have been popping up in the pantry, resting on top of the microwave for nosy, speculative assholes like me to jump to conclusions about. Today's emotionally addled selections:
"I Do, But I Don't: how to walk down the aisle without losing your mind"
"Separated By Duty, United By Love: Married to the military (or something like that). "
I giggle cruelly to think of the train wreck of a woman who owns these books, and telepathically try to send messages to her future husband to keep his soldier ass in Iraq. The minefields & roadside bombs are less dangerous over there.

"I Do but I Don't"
Hmmm...something tells me that if you're actually passing time by reading books about how to engage in the process of getting married, there is NO WAY you're not getting married.
I'm willing to bet that the woman who owns this book has never had a boyfriend before she landed this poor sap.
Yes, you were right that you are apparently prone to making conclusions about books you've obviously never read.
I just finished "Separated by Duty, United by Love" and thought it was an excellent, if somewhat pedestrian, introductory book for families facing their first deployment. It gives practical advice for faces everyday challenges such as financial worries, raising children, infidelity--and most importantly--a guidebook chapter on what happens when a servicemember dies from various paperwork to immediately sign to the Red Cross organ donation conversation that takes place only hours after you've learned of a servicemembers death.
I find your assessment pathetic and childish. I'm pretty left-wing, but always despise when other women belittle those who have undertaken a military life in the name of feminism. You obviously are not capable of understanding the tremendous amount of stress, strain, and rigour that a military marriage must endure.
There was not a single mention of "sending telepath messages over to Iraq" or some such nonsense. However, there is mention of prayer being a source of release and meditation.
Next time, get your story straight.
anon: are you the same person who wants to go back in time to meet snoopy?
